Our trip to Martin Mere

Reception class had a lovely time.

We learnt how birds can move and did a Flamingo dance.

We fed the birds.

We had a nice picnic outside with our

feathered friends watching.

We listened to a story about Tommy the Tadpole.

Nathan tried to walk like a duck!!

What a wonderful day!!

Our class celebration will be on

Thank you to all our parents, grandparents and friends who joined us for our 'Energy' Class Celebration.  We are very proud of all of our children.

We have been looking at the 'Little Red Hen' over the last few weeks.  We tasted different breads from different countries and decided which we liked/disliked.

We celebrated Palm Sunday.

We wish our families a Happy Easter.

Our class enjoyed the visit from the Bluesilver Theatre Company. We learned about a typical day of a Victorian child.

Reception class made vegetable soup with lots of different types of vegetables.

Chinese New Year

All of the Infants celebrated Chinese New Year.  We learnt a new Chinese song and how to say Happy New Year in Chinese. 

We enjoyed a Chinese Banquet together.

We celebrated Shrove Tuesday by making pancakes.

Reception class were very lucky to have a visit from PC Karl from Maghull Police Station.  He talked about keeping safe and looking after each other.  He also showed us what equipment police officers carry.  He played in our police station with us too.

We have been learning all about Australia and Australian life.  We tried to play the digeridoo.

We had a leaving party for Michael and presented him with cards and gifts and hope he and his family enjoy their new life in Adelaide, Australia.

We have a lovely new class with new toilets and furniture.

Our outside area is now ready.

We have been collecting shoe boxes for this years shoebox appeal and have been talking about how gifts are something special to give to someone else.

We have enjoyed our dance unit "Singing in the Rain".  We made a dance sequence using different parts of our feet, skipping, leaping, jumping, bouncing and working with a partner.

Reception class learnt how to do an Indian Dance.

We tried on Saris and traditional Indian clothes.

We have a pizza restaurant in our class.

We have been making pizzas in class.

We serve customers, take orders and write menus.

We tasted pizzas and decided which one we preferred and why.

We wrote about our pizza likes and dislikes.
