Welcome to Year 2 Class.
Year 2 Everton Academy Final
The brilliant year 2 football team played superbly in the Everton Academy Festival on Monday 14th July. They were very unlucky not to have won the tournament as they played some fantastic football. The team were unbeaten but lost in the final by one goal. Below is the report written by the team and organised by the captain Amelia.
On Monday 14th July 2008 we played at Holy Family High School. Our first match we drew 0:0 and Ben hit the post in the first half. Then in the next game the score was 2:0 to Bosco and Sam booted it but the goalie saved it. We won 7:0 in one of the games and in the same game Fred scored 4 and Joe scored 2 aswell. Then in the next match Ben scored 8 goals and he was brilliant. We were playing great passing football and our defence was good. The midfield was coming back to help just like Mr MacAreavy wanted us to do. In the final Ben hit the post and straight after that Joe hit the bar. Unfortunately we were getting a bit tired and in the second half a boy called Nicholas scored for them. We got medals and a trophy for school. Oh all our mums and dads came and they were the best supporters ever. We went back to school in the mini bus and sang songs all the way home. Brilliant!!
Our class celebration will be on
Wednesday, 14th May at 2.40 pm
On Monday, we visited Underwater Street. We had a lovely time.
There were many things to do including a construction area, a sensory area, an art area, imagination village, the physical zone and the Lab.

Year 2 draw in fantastic match
Year 2 had a brilliant game of football last night against a strong team from St Mary's in Crosby. Year 2 will produce a match report tomorrow.
On Monday we had a football match against St Mary's. The score was 1:1. St Mary's scored in about the 13th minute. This was followed by a great goal by Joe Gregory. Amelia nearly scored from a goal kick. Unfortunately Fred's header hit the post. Then Ben hit it over the bar twice. St Mary's played very well and everybody enjoyed the match. Oh and by the way we all love our new kit it is dead COOL!!!
