As part of National Sports week Year 2 took part in Multi sports at Maghull High School. We all enjoyed ourselves and were very proud of our achievements.

During our Science lesson we looked at Variation and how we could arrange plants and animals into different groups. We then went outside to look for various plants and mini beasts.

Year 2 class took part in a whole school celebration about Islam.
History - Famous People
We have been looking at Isambard Kingdom Brunel during our History lesson and learning all about why he was famous. We had great fun trying to make our own Clifton Suspension Bridges.
We have been making Easter cards.
A Happy Easter to all our families.

Year 2 enjoyed meeting the Pembrokeshire Birds of Prey.
Maisie and George both had the opportunity to hold an
Eurasion Eagle Owl. Following the visit, we have been learning about all the different birds and drawing lovely pictures of them.
Green Day
We have been learning a lovely song about planting carrots with
Mr MacAreavy and enjoyed wearing our costumes.
We had a party to celebrate Keiron's success in achieving his skill.
We have been very busy in literacy writing stories about Little Red Riding Hood to go on our display.
We have been learning to estimate, measure and compare masses using grams and kilograms.
We celebrated St John Bosco Feast Day on Friday, by being active, kind and sharing with all of our school friends.
We celebrated Chinese New Year this week. We tasted chinese food, made Ox's and listened to stories about the Chinese culture. We have been using Chinese chopsticks too!
We have been learning how to program a floor turtle
as part of our ICT work on Routes.
Santa's elves have been busy in Year 2 making:
Christmas Cards,
Hand Puppets,
and Baubles.
Haven't we been busy. We had such fun!

An Everton coach came into school to teach the children football skills. Everybody enjoyed the afternoon.

We boiled a kettle and watched what happened when the water turned to steam and touched a cold surface.
During our Science lesson we made toast because we were looking at irreversible changes.
We observed how the bread was before and after applying heat.
To celebrate World Book Day, we all came to school dressed as our favourite book character.
