On Friday 17th November me, Isabel, Molly, Abbie, Amy, Siobhan, Liam, Luke and John went to Southport Eco Centre to talk about our school travel plan. Mr MacAreavy drove us to the Eco Centre in a mini-bus. When we arrived Mr MacAreavy signed us in and we entered the room. There was a lot of chairs in front of a big screen. We were then offered a drink and a biscuit and took our seat and the presentation began. Darren Lloyd introduced the staff working and the other people doing presentations. I found the presentations quite interesting and found out that all schools must have a travel plan by 2010. After a handful of presentations there was another break (we got another biscuit and drink) and we then found out that our presentation was next. We took our places and Mr MacAreavy told the people about our travel plan. We then had our new song to sing, I was quite nervous but excited at the same time. It was soon the end of all the presentations and time for lunch. The food hadn’t arrived so we went to the corridor and played on the eco-games. We saw the food coming through so we offered to help them take it into the room we were to eat in. There were sandwiches, sausage rolls, quiche, crisps, pretzels, and then lots of fruit and cakes for dessert. Everyone went up to get some food while we all crowded around the fruit. After going up for more we all said thank-you and piled back into the mini-bus again. We were all sorry the day had come to an end.
