I am pleased to be able to tell you that the Kingswood Centre is operating as normal. Postal and all other deliveries are fine. A school from Nottingham arrived yesterday and all activities are taking place. The coach company reports clear conditions and the roads around school will be generally free of traffic on Sunday. Please park in the school or church for safety. If any dads can bring a spade to clear the front path for Monday I would be most grateful. I have cleared around the school classrooms for our younger children. Plenty of socks a warm coat and a pair of boots or wellies. Looking forward to another great week of action and fun. (Honestly)
Severe Weather Closure
School will be closed on Friday 8th. We intend to open on Monday 11th January.
School will be closed on Wednesday 6th and Thursday 7th January 2010 due to severe weather conditions. The forecast suggests that the weather may improve on Friday however we shall make a decision at 4.00pm on Thursday and inform you accordingly. It is likely that school will be closed if Green Park kitchens are closed as we will be unable to provide hot dinners. Parentmail has proved to be most useful to those who have forwarded their contact details. School paths have been salted for Friday 8th January however we have used all our reserves. The roads and footpaths remain frozen and care must be taken.
Can I thank you on behalf of the Governors for you very positive responses to this situation and continued understanding and support. The safety of our children must remain a priority at all times.
