Dear Parents
The first ‘Friends’ meeting of the year took place on Tuesday evening and we had an excellent turn out despite the football!! There were lots of ideas discussed which are listed in the ‘Minutes of the Meeting’ (available on the school website www.stjohnboscoprimary.co.uk – Friends of St John Bosco) and we are looking forward to another exciting fundraising year.
The focus now turns to organizing our annual Easter Bingo which will take place on Thursday, 29th March 2007 in the school hall (details to follow).
Thank you again to everyone who came to the meeting. It is great to have a bigger team so that we can investigate new ideas and have the support to undertake some new fun activities.
Our next meeting is Tuesday, 24th April at 6.30 pm. If you couldn’t make our last meeting, but are still interested in getting involved, please come along. Don’t forget, you can always email any issues or ideas to us at stjblynn@yahoo.co.uk for the attention of ‘Friends of St John Bosco’.

Introduction To Friends Of St John Bosco Agreed that efforts should be made to introduce the Friends of St John Bosco to parents of children entering the school.
Find out when Intro Night for Reception is to be held and contact tonight’s attendees for volunteers to be present.
Supply copy of PTA booklet from another primary school as possible basis for our own
Minutes of meetings to be posted to web site so that parents who can’t attend meetings are still informed

Organisation Agreed that the best way to organise future events would be to have groups of people assigned to each activity to prevent all the work being left to fewer people
Schedule of forthcoming events and Friends’ meetings to be published well in advance to give parents more opportunity to make arrangements |
