Up date for Monday

2 January 2021 (by stjohnb)

Dear Parents and Carers

I do hope that you have managed to enjoy this unique Christmas celebration with your family and I hope that your children were as excited as they clearly were during our final few weeks in school.  I shall keep this communication very straight forward to avoid any misunderstanding and hope that you will not be offended.  It is our intention to welcome all children back to school on as planned on Monday 4th January at 8.45am.  You will no doubt be aware of the situation in the south of England with regards to the delayed opening of all schools including primaries.  As I write to you this is not the case for our school.  I shall of course communicate with you immediately should I be given alternative instruction.  Can I ask that you share this information throughout ours school family and remind you respectfully that parking will continue to present challenges and I have suggested that bringing dogs at the end of the day and congregating outside the school path is not a good idea.  You are most welcome if you are collecting junior children to space yourselves out on the grass at the front of the school as we have been doing.  After school clubs will begin on Monday and you have been given the weekly timetable. On Monday we can are offering Year 2 a Lego club and Year 3 will enjoy table tennis and indoor curling.

The roads around school are quite slippery and although I have contacted Sefton Council and asked them if they could grit them if required I am less than hopeful so please be careful.  I have gritted the school playgrounds and paths and these seem to be better although we shall remind children not to run.

As I have said I shall keep you posted if there are any changes but for the moment school arrangements will continue as planned and I hope that you enjoy your weekend and look forward to welcoming you all on Monday morning.

Yours sincerely

Mr MacAreavy
