Dear parents,

This week is quite a busy week for Year 5 so I thought I would give you updates all in one place!

Wednesday

On Wednesday afternoon, Mr MacAreavy has very kindly organised for us to go to Maricourt High School to watch this year's performance of Matilda the Musical. We will be traveling on a bus organised by Maricourt after lunch and will be back by 3.15pm. If you do not wish your child to go with us could you please inform Mrs Greenwood via the school office or speak to me at the end of the school day. This is a surprise for the children, they have requested to get on the bus and find out what we are doing when we get to our 'secret location'. 

Thursday

Our trip to the Maritime Museum!

We have a great day out planned where we will be taking a tour of the museum and participating in a workshop. I have planned in time to visit the gift shop so if the children would like to buy something as a memento of the trip could you please send them with no more than £5 cash.

We are going to be travelling on the train from Maghull station and will be back before 3.15pm. Upon checking the weather, it looks as though it is due to snow on Thursday. Could I please ask that the children come in full school uniform but wear sensible shoes and wrap up warm as we will be walking from Moorfields down to the museum.
